The Brighton Fishing Museum takes visitors back in time to Brighthelmstone, which was a quiet fishing village. Using film, photos and paintings, the museum celebrates the local fishing community. The neighbouring arches are still home to working fishermen who bring history to life, so be sure to sample the freshest fish around.
Further west the arches have been lovingly restored to their former glory, although they are no longer home to fishermen. Today the arches are home to galleries, restaurants and shops. By the British Airways i360 observation tower there are a dozen arches, each of which are home to independent traders selling fashion, homeware, photography and more.
