Explore the autumnal landscape of The Forest of Dean

Coleford, Gloucestershire

With miles of tracks and footpaths to explore, The Forest of Dean offers endless pleasure for walkers, whether it's a 30 minute gentle stroll or a two hour ramble.

The autumnal colours bring this stunning landscape to life and allow you to kick your way through the leaves and enjoy the serenity of this beautiful location.  One of the highlights at this time of year includes the Cyril Hart Arboretum at Speech House which was built during the reign of Charles II. Speech House is where the Verderers’ Court meets; it is the oldest establish court in England but today its role is largely as an intermediary between the local public and the Forestry Commission ensuring long established traditions are maintained, and is one of the most popular outdoor places to visit in the area.
