Take the family pet along on a dog friendly break in Dorset

Dorset

Thanks to Dorset’s dog friendly places, there’s no need to leave your favourite canine companion at home on a family holiday.

Dogs of all shapes and sizes (and their owners!) are welcome at the Castle Inn in West Lulworth. In fact, this dog friendly pub even has dog treats at the bar and dogs are welcome to dine with you at the table. Dogs that stay at the inn are then made famous on their online photo gallery.

Weymouth-based cottage agency Dream Cottages have a dedicated section on their website for ‘Doggy Cottages’, featuring lots of dog friendly cottages in the area where you and your family can stay with your pet.

Spend your dog friendly holiday exploring some of Britain's best countryside and coastline walks with your four-legged friend. The Rodwell Trail in Weymouth follows the route of an old railway line and is popular with dog walkers.
