Get your gourd at Slindon Pumpkin Festival

Slindon, nr Arundel, West Sussex

Take park in this celebration of gourds and squashes, including an unusual form of pumpkin art, within a National Trust village in West Sussex.

For over 20 years, The Slindon Pumpkin Festival (free throughout October) has delighted people from far and wide, as the Upton family display their remarkable crop of all manner of different shapes and sizes of gourds and squashes.

Each year they create a vast ‘picture’ made entirely from pumpkins, and set out on the roof of their barn. In recent years the display has depicted scenes from Star Wars, Venice and Cinderella.

Located on Top Road in the delightful National Trust village of Slindon, which also offers wonderful walks – with direct and easy access onto the South Downs and through Slindon woods.

Refreshments are available throughout the Festival at the nearby community-owned shop and café, Slindon Forge on Reynolds Lane.
