Spend the night in your very own railway carriage

Cloughton, Scarborough, North Yorkshire

Why not make trainspotting your passion whilst staying in ‘Oscar’, a railway carriage permanently stationed at Cloughton railway station.

Enjoy a unique, self-catering break in the 4-star railway carriage ‘Oscar’, built in Derby in 1962 and fully refurbished in 2004.

‘Oscar’ lives at the old Cloughton Railway Station, on the Scarborough to Whitby line, which closed in 1965 after 80 years of taking passengers along the scenic 21-mile route between the two towns.

He’s stationed alongside the old platform, is available for hire all year round and is completely private.

The carriage is fully air-conditioned and has two twin-bedded rooms and one double en-suite room, sleeping six in all, in addition to a separate shower-room/toilet, kitchen and 19-foot lounge/dining area.
