Why was the venue chosen?

Set in a Grade II-listed building located right on Bristol’s historic harbourside, the venue naturally fitted with the community focus of the conference, with building’s listed status adding particular interest for the delegates. Watershed was the ideal venue.

The objective of the event

The conference was an exploration into all the issues surrounding the Localism Act and gave some good examples of Neighbourhood Planning. It was an opportunity for planners to discuss the challenges authorities and communities face, look at how some are overcoming them, and share their professional experiences.

Final word

Helen Clarke of the Royal Town Planning Institute said: “Watershed is an excellent choice of venue: convenient location, good acoustics, comfy seats and a superb lunch. A big thank you to all the staff at Watershed for ensuring our event was a resounding success.”
