Waterfalls, row boats and a pagoda in Peasholm Park

Scarborough, North Yorkshire

Explore this beautiful Grade II-listed oriental themed garden, set on the site of a medieval manor house with many activities to enjoy.

Peasholm Park celebrated its centenary in 2012 as a historic tranquil park with a pagoda, peaceful lake and boats for hire including dragon pedalos. There is also a host of wildlife to spot during your visit, including squirrels, wild geese, swans and ducks.

Boating enthusiasts will enjoy the Naval Warfare battles with model boats which are re-enacted by “The smallest manned navy in the world”, and during the summer months, the bandstand in the middle of the lake and the Proms in the park makes for a lively atmosphere, so bring a picnic or enjoy some refreshments at the café or an ice cream from the kiosk.
