Follow in the footsteps of Samuel Taylor Coleridge

Nether Stowey to Lynmouth, Somerset to North Devon

Step into the world of the Romantic poets, following the Coleridge Way from the Quantock hills, across Exmoor, to the dramatic North Devon coast.

Spend a cultural holiday trying to complete the 51 miles of the Coleridge Way, from the National Trust’s Coleridge Cottage, nestled in the Quantock Hills, all the way to the picturesque coastal village of Lynmouth.

Alternatively, pick and choose from the six sections of the trail that can be completed individually. Experience the diverse landscape that inspired some of Coleridge’s most famous works and traverse rolling hills, steep wooded coombes and open moorland.

Walk the extension of the route from Lynmouth Pavilion to the Valley of Rocks and experience where old cultures and new cultures collide. This striking spot was used as a TV location during filming of the second season of ITV’s Broadchurch.
