Travel through time and around the world at Warrington Museum & Art Gallery.
With more than 200,000 objects covering ethnology, archaeology, local and social history, natural science and fine art, there’s plenty to see. Visit the galleries and gaze at a wealth of material on the natural world including Warrington’s very own dinosaur. Then make your way to the popular local and social history galleries, featuring displays on the industries that shaped the town, and a fascinating Time Tunnel complete with hands-on history activities for younger visitors.
Make sure to see the beautifully decorated Egyptian painted coffin of Priest Paikhmennu from the temple of Amun in Thebes. Look out for one of the award-winning events and temporary exhibitions. Previous shows have featured works by Banksy, Tracey Emin and Sam Taylor-Wood.
