Widely known as ambitious and influential, the British Art Show takes place every five years and in 2015 opens in the city of Leeds on 9 October.

A Hayward Touring exhibition organised in collaboration with galleries across the cities of Leeds, Edinburgh, Norwich and Southampton.

The British Art Show is widely recognised as a significant marker of recent developments in contemporary art, unrivalled in its scope and national reach. The exhibition introduces a wide public to a new generation of British artists, providing a vital overview of the most exciting art produced in this country during the previous five years.

Catch this unique public programme tailored specifically for Leeds. British Art Show 8 will take over all the galleries within Leeds Art Gallery as well as acting as a catalyst for a wide range of cultural events and artistic activity.
