There’s spine-chilling fun to be had in this dungeon, where 2,000 horrible years of history are brought to life by grisly theatre and sudden frights.
York Dungeon is a live-action interactive horror show that draws on 2,000 years’ worth of horrific local history. Join the tour and be prepared for some seriously nasty things to happen along the way, from violent executions and destructive plague to a devious plot to blow up parliament. You’ll meet decidedly sinister characters from the past, including the suitably named Eric Bloodaxe and the notorious highwayman Dick Turpin. Try not to lose your way in the Labyrinth of the Lost, or to fall victim to the Torturer’s enthusiastic demonstrations of his work.
The dungeon brings together a talented cast of actors, funny scripts, immersive sets and special effects to make a hair-raisingly enjoyable walkthrough experience. York Dungeon is found in the middle of the historic city of York on the northeast coast of England, which is a 3 hour train journey from north of London.
