Get behind the scenes at the RUFC ground in Headlingley, Leeds. Book during the Rugby World Cup and go on a tour with Sir Ian McGeechan.
If you are in Leeds during the Rugby World Cup then make time to book an exclusive tour of the Headlingley Carnegie Stadium. As the host stadium of some of the first Calcutta Cup games, Headingley is an experience in itself and a must-see if you're visiting Leeds for the tournament.
The stadium sits back to back with the Yorkshire County Cricket Club ground and is the only stadium in the world where both Rugby League and Rugby Union are played. On selected dates in September/October 2015, Sir Ian McGeechan will be your guide. Capped for Scotland thirty-two times and a British and Irish Lions stalwart, the Executive Chairman of Leeds Carnegie RUFC is perfectly placed to give an insight into the history of the stadium and the game itself. Make sure you think up your best questions for the post tour Q&A.
After the tour, find plenty of places to eat and drink in the compact city centre from traditional pubs to hip bars to mull over the day’s events, before experiencing some very different footwork at the Opera North and Northern Ballet. Show off your own moves as the city comes alive at night in the many bars and clubs.
