Take a budget festive break in Bristol

Bristol is brimming with free events, festivals and markets during the winter. Experience the city on a budget without compromising on fun

Hardly a weekend goes by in Bristol without a free event, market or festival. During the winter, the city makes a great budget break without compromising on the festive or fun factor.  Experience the magic of a traditional German Christmas Market in the heart of Bristol’s Shopping Quarter from 11th November – 24th December.

38 enchanting wooden chalets decorated with festive greenery, nativity Pyramid, giant advent calendar and beer gardens ooze with Christmas spirit. Head to Millennium Square from 5th November - 3rd January for some frosty magic as At-Bristol turns the place into a winter playground complete with ice rink.

Many of Bristol’s best museums and galleries are free to enter and Clifton Village makes a lovely place to wander. Head to Clifton Suspension Bridge after-dark to see it illuminated in all its twinkly glory before heading to one of Clifton’s many bars for a mulled something.
