With views from St Michael’s Mount to the picturesque fishing village of Newlyn, the Jubilee Pool is one of the best places to swim in the open air.
Opened in 1935 to mark the Silver Jubilee of George V, the Jubilee Pool is one of the few remaining 1930s lidos in the country and Britain’s largest surviving seawater lido.
The Jubilee Pool is open every summer from the beginning of June to mid-September, providing a fabulous venue for swimming, sunbathing or simply relaxing by the poolside. A small ‘baby pool’ set within the main pool provides an ideal environment for children to enjoy the water in safety.
Picnic tables are provided if you wish to bring your own food, but there is also a delightful poolside café where you can enjoy freshly prepared food - from freshly-made coffee and tasty homemade cakes to delicious full-course meals.
