Lincoln was voted the world’s most steampunk city - find out why at the annual Steampunk Festival.
Every year, the Victorian Steampunk Society descends on Lincoln’s Cathedral Quarter for a retro-futurist extravaganza.
Activities over the weekend’s events in August include a costume parade, a Wacky Racers race, tea duelling, the largest steampunk market in the world – with its own black market – and much more. Here you can pick up some steampunk gear yourself – from top hats and flying goggles to corset and flamboyant feathers – and join in with Lincoln’s neo-Victorian fantasy.
Pay a visit to Lincoln’s ‘Steampunk Embassy’ to discover the phenomenon of steampunk through exhibitions, talks and art. Or visit the Food Court in Westgate Academy for some well-earned grub at all times of the day.
