In the north west of Wiltshire, the Cotswolds encompasses the honey-pot village of Castle Combe and the picturesque market town of Malmesbury.
Grab your camera and take a trip to Castle Combe, where scenes from Hollywood blockbusters War Horse and Dr Doolittle were filmed. Afterwards, be enchanted by the honey coloured stone buildings and beautiful green meadows that make up the Wiltshire Cotswolds Area of Natural Beauty.
Explore further to the Wiltshire borders where you’ll find the Cotswold Water Park. It is home to more than 150 lakes and is an excellent spot for angling, walking, watersports or just simply enjoying the Cotswold countryside.
And don’t forget to pay the market town of Malmesbury a visit. This historical town is situated on a hill and circled by the River Avon. It is also one of England’s oldest boroughs with over 1,000 years of history. Discover this timeless part of Wiltshire.
