Experience the thrill of top-class tennis at the world's oldest and most prestigious tennis tournament - the Championships, Wimbledon.
The first Wimbledon Lawn Tennis Championships took place in 1877, and tradition remains an important element today, with matches still taking place on grass and a strict 'white clothing only' rule for players.
The two-week long tournament is a highlight of London's summer calendar and a hugely popular event, usually attracting around 500,000 spectators to the hallowed ground of the All England Club.
As you might expect, online tickets sell out months in advance. However, the majority of general admission tickets are held back for on-the-day sales, allowing you to take part in another of Wimbledon's most famous traditions - the Queue. Tennis fanatics queue overnight to gain entry for the next day's action; you can expect a buzzing, friendly atmosphere if you do decide to camp for tickets.
Get in early and take your seat by the court or on the picturesque grounds and feel the excitement build as the finest tennis players in the world serve up a dramatic sporting spectacle. Then celebrate (or commiserate) with a classic Wimbledon favourite: a bowl of fresh strawberries and cream.
Wimbledon 2019 takes place between 1-14 July.
