Visit York Brewery the only traditional working brewery with the first real ales from for over 40 years.

Established inside the historic Micklegate Bar Walls, York Brewery is an independent family-run brewery whose owners carry over 140 years of brewing heritage. The head brewer, Nick, along with the brewery team are passionate about producing fine handcrafted ales combining traditional brewing methods alongside the latest technology to ensure that the highest standards of quality are achieved.

If you are into unique ales, this is the place to be. Come along and see some of the finest cask conditioned ales being brewed for local and worldwide consumption that you can later taste in the Brewery Tap Room. The brewhouse consists of a 20 barrel brew plant and a gallery which provides an excellent viewing platform into the entire brewing process from start to finish. The brewery has won local and national awards for their beers. Whilst you are there, try the Guzzler or the famous Yorkshire Terrier.
