Listen to the eerie sounds of whales as they call each other above the full sized whale skeleton.
The museum is housed in the former Victorian Dock Offices in Queen Victoria Square and is now home to exhibitions on Hull's maritime activities from the late 18th century to present.
Discover the whaler’s craft of Scrimshaw and see a full-sized whale skeleton, alongside superb ship models and stunning artefacts from Hull's whaling, fishing and merchant trade.
The museum has a weekly ‘object handling’ day where visitors can handle such items as a whale bone and a harpoon. Maritime Museum is part of a collection of 8 free museums in Hull’s city centre.
