Reach new heights on a Lake District mountain

Honister Pass, Cumbria

Climb where only birds fly and explore a hidden underground world in Cumbria’s Lake District mountains, the ultimate place to broaden your horizons.

For an indoor adventure, Honister’s Climb the Mine experience allows you to explore a secret world of hidden passages and magnificent caverns. Along the way, you will scale rock-face rungs and awesome Burma bridges, before climbing high up into the roof of the mine. Or, go outside, where you shall find the Via Ferrata Xtreme, which is twice as high as The Shard and seven times the height of Big Ben! Plucky participants can make their way towards the summit ridge of the mighty Fleetwith Pike using a series of cables, rungs and cliff-edge ladders. Then comes the challenge of the Infinity Bridge, suspended over 2,000 feet above the valley floor.

The finale culminates in a spectacular panorama of three lakes - Buttermere, Crummock and Loweswater – making it the perfect setting to enjoy the awesome power and beauty of nature.
