In Rutland good food is a real passion and the county is widely regarded for its range of quality pubs and restaurants.

Rutland may be small but it is home to many quality restaurants and country inns, which go to great lengths to create wonderful seasonal dishes from local ingredients and pride themselves on providing a great dining experience.

Hambleton Hall in Exton, which has held a Michelin Star for over 20 years, is set amidst a spectacular lakeside setting and is a haven for gourmets and wine lovers. Hambleton Bakery, winner of the ITV show ‘Britain’s Best Bakery’, makes use of locally brewed beer in its artisan bread sourced from Rutland’s very own brewery, The Grainstore Brewery.

The King’s Arms in Wing is fast becoming one of Rutland’s top eateries with its own smokehouse. James Goss, head chef, is passionate about creating and serving good food using very local produce.
