Whether it is gift buying you are there for or just simply to take in the festive atmosphere, the Shrewsbury Winter Festival has it all on offer.
Work your way around the stalls filled with a huge range of handcrafted items from decorations to knitted items to stunning ironwork, and purchase some unique Christmas presents whilst supporting the local craft community. You can also take part in the market’s workshops where you and your family can have a go at bringing out your creative side.
Sample local artisan foods to tickle those festive taste buds from mince pies to fresh free range meats ready for the essential Christmas feast and enjoy a cup of steaming hot chocolate, spiced mulled wine, warming flavoured liqueurs and chilled beers and ciders.
And let's not forget Santa's appearance; the most important part of the festival, where visitors will enjoy a free Santa's grotto, carol singing, hands on craft & food workshops, nativity, and even a homeless cardboard village & soup kitchen.
