Plan a weekend country break taking long walks on the Thames Path, which passes through historic Cricklade, or lazy strolls around the town’s beautiful meadows before resting up at the award-winning Red Lion Inn.

Dating back to the early 1600s, the pub still retains many historic features but with cosy details including roaring log fires, making it a perfect rural retreat for couples.

The pub has received many accolades including Pub of the Year and an AA Rosette for its dining. If you enjoy real ale then be sure to try out the on-site micro-brewery, and where better to enjoy a pint and some good pub food but in the pub garden.
