Pop the question on a Palladian bridge

Bath, Somerset

The Palladian Bridge, nestled in the beautifully landscaped gardens of Prior Park, offers a memorable spot for a proposal.

The National Trust-owned Prior Park Landscape Garden is a hidden gem amongst the bustling city of Bath, offering a romantic escape for couples. With magnificent views of the city below and a secluded summerhouse glade, a stroll around the stunning gardens hand-in-hand is a relaxing experience to enjoy together.

Prior Park was created by entrepreneur and philanthropist Ralph Allen to complement his magnificent mansion on the Bath skyline. The 18th-century landscaped gardens were laid out by Capability Brown, with a Palladian bridge situated amongst a series of lakes.

The magnificent bridge, built in 1755, is the last of three of its kind built in England and an eye-catching example of Palladian architecture. What a distinctive and unforgettable place to pop that very important question!
