Explore elegant grounds with cascades, pools, tunnels and gardens at Shibden Hall.
Just outside Halifax, one of the most historic towns in England, lies Shibden Hall & Estate.
The estate makes for great countryside days out, with its beautiful park and woodland, fruit gardens and blooming spring flowerbeds.
Shibden Hall itself is the home of noted 19th century diarist Anne Lister. The historic half-timbered building dates from around 1420 and is furnished in the styles of the 17th, 18th and 19th centuries.
Kids will love the boating lake, miniature railway, pitch and putt course and the children’s play area.
The grounds also offer footpaths, a woodland walk and a permanent dry stone walling exhibition, and The Shibden Mereside Cafe and visitor centre is the perfect place to relax,
Shibden Estate plays host to regular live entertainment, music, walks, workshops, guided tours, storytelling and craft events throughout the year.
