Kelham Island, once the city’s cutlery-making hotbed, is becoming a place where foodies go to pick up their knives and forks in search of trendy places to eat.

New life has been breathed into the narrow twisting streets of the old industrial quarter so why not take a stroll around Kelham Island Industrial Museum and see how the cutlery industry made Sheffield so famous.

Stop for lunch or dinner at the Milestone, the award-winning gastro-pub, and use Sheffield’s own cutlery to raise the prestigious dish of the day to your lips.

Wash it all down with craft beers and cocktails at Urban Quarter or pop into Sheffield’s champion of real ales – the Fat Cat – with its on-site brewery.

Soak up some more of the atmosphere of this intriguing part of town and pop in to Craft & Dough, a quirky pizza restaurant with tempting dishes like ‘nose to tail pork’ pizza.
