Learn more about the Royal Shakespeare Company's working processes or simply soak in the atmosphere at this cozy indoor theatre and cafe.
Stratford-upon-Avon is a thriving hub for theatre and creativity, and the Royal Shakespeare Company's The Other Place plays a key role in helping it flourish. With three rehersal rooms and a 200 seat theatre, budding playrights and actors use the space to hone their craft, and often open the doors for spectators.
However, even outside of show times, The Other Place is buzzing with activity. Susie's Cafe Bar can be found on-site, serving food and drinks from 9:30am till late. Lined with set decorations from past performances, information about the Royal Shakespeare Company and even costumes from recent performances, Susie's Cafe Bar is a great spot to kick back and relax on a rainy afternoon. Plus, with special live music and spoken word events on Thursdays, there's opportunities to get up close and personal with Stratford's local art scene.
A full programme of events at The Other Place can be found online.
