Bristol is home to major world studio, Aardman Animations - creators of world-famous Shaun the Sheep and Wallace and Gromit.
A thriving centre for the film and creative industries, Bristol-based Aardman is one of the most innovative and successful in the world.
The animation studio behind Wallace and Gromit, Shaun the Sheep, Chicken Run, Creature Comforts, Morph, and many others has been nominated for 10 Oscars and won four of them, as well as numerous industry awards.
The major studio is based on Bristol’s historic Harbourside, just a stone’s throw from one of the UK’s top visitor attractions - the world’s first ocean-going steam ship, Brunel’s ss Great Britain.
Whilst tours of the studio are not possible, both M Shed and At-Bristol have interactive Aardman exhibits – the latter allows you to style your own characters, create your own storyboard and make your own showreel!
