The Robin Hood Festival is a celebration to all things medieval and, of course, Robin himself, that takes place each year at his home in Sherwood Forest.
Each year in August, Nottingham’s famous outlaw makes his appearance at the festival, along with his band of merry men, to see off the Sheriff of Nottingham and take from the rich to give to the poor.
Explore Sherwood Forest as it transforms into a a week of medieval feasting and entertainment. The visitor centre offers a perfect stopping off point to rest up and grab some lunch between visiting the many shows - from dancing to sword fighting - that take place across each of the seven days.
The festival, packed with activities for little and big kids alike, is a perfect family day out. And if you’re lucky, you might just get to meet the legend himself.
