Known as Yorkshire's Food Capital, the usually quiet village of Malton comes to life when this tasty festival rolls into town.
Home to the Malton Monthly Food Market, Malton Cookery School and some of Yorkshire’s best restaurants and food shops, Malton is making a name for itself as a town built around its famous local produce.
The Food Lovers Festival (which takes place every year in May) is a celebration of the very best Yorkshire produce and cooking, with over 160 food stalls, famous patrons and delicious locally sourced street food. There's plenty to see and do (despite Malton's small size), including chef demos, cookery lessons, a festival bar and restaurant, family entertainment, live music, tastings and much more. Make sure you arrive hungry!
Malton Food Lovers Festival 2019 takes place between 25-26 May; entrance is free, although some specialised activities may charge a fee.
