Make your own cheese in rural Somerset at Hagley Bridge Farm

Watterow, Somerset

Learn how to fill your fridge with cheese, yoghurt and butter made by your own fair hand.

Grab your wellies, wash your hands and get ready… In the dairy at Hagley Bridge, home of the Red Devon Cheese Company, you can have a go at making hard and soft cheese, yoghurt and butter from the milk of the farm’s herd of Ruby Red Devon cattle.

Don’t forget your camera, either, because this 16th-century Somerset long-house is tucked away among the rugged and wild moorland of Exmoor, with rolling hills and the banks of the River Tone right on your doorstep.

If you’re staying over in the on-site B&B, then look forward to enormous, snuggly beds, Victorian high top baths and a locally-sourced breakfast.
