Take a nature break at Westonbirt Arboretum

Tetbury, Gloucs

Venture into Westonbirt’s leafy grounds for a touch of nature’s magic and see the English countryside at its verdant best.

There are few better ways to marvel at the English countryside than a visit to one of the finest collections of trees and shrubs in the world, Westonbirt, The National Arboretum.

Whatever the season, the leafy grounds make a magical day out. In autumn, the grounds are ablaze with a kaleidoscope of fiery colours. Vibrant maples, dazzling hickories and autumnal aromas of candyfloss and burnt caramel - courtesy of the katsura. Come winter the estate is turned into an enchanted, illuminated winter wonderland.

A short drive from Bristol, the arboretum’s six hundred acres of trees, forested glades, children’s play trail and dog-friendly, Silk Wood have levels of accessibility to suit a range of visitors. Adventure into the trees and discover the environmental and historical importance of the arboretum’s beautiful foliage.
