Just breathe… on a family break at Nunnington Hall

Helmsley, North Yorkshire

This Yorkshire manor house is delightful in the spring with its organic meadows, orchards and handsome peacocks.

Nunnington Hall is a friendly family home known for its attractive location on the quiet banks of the River Rye, as well as its high profile art and photography exhibitions held throughout the year.

The enchanting house and gardens makes for a wonderful family break with its seasonal childrens’ trails and secret hideaways. Easter is the time to meet spring animals, take part in family races, have your face painted and join an Easter Egg Hunt.

From the magnificent oak-panelled hall three staircases lead to the family rooms, the nursery, the haunted room and the attics, with their fascinating Carlisle collection of miniature rooms furnished to reflect different periods.

The sheltered walled garden, with its delightful mixed borders, traditional fruit orchards and spring flowering meadows, complement the mellow 17th century manor house and provide lovely spaces for strolling.
