Join the Viking music invasion in Hull

Hull, East Yorkshire

This new festival celebrating Hull’s selection as the UK’s City of Culture for 2017 promises a Nordic flair.

Experimental, contemporary classical, electronica and avant-garde musical performances will be taking over the city centre of Hull in late April and early May.

John Grant’s North Atlantic Flux: Sounds from Smoky Bay is a featured event in a year designed to showcase the newly-minted city of culture. The festival promises to celebrate Hull’s Nordic links with performances by the adopted Icelander, Grant, as well as Icelandic electronic dance collective GusGus, Norwegian talent Lindstrøm and several others.

The international line-up will perform at various venues around the city, including Hull City Hall and wharf-side warehouse spaces Früit and Gate No. 5, over the early May Bank Holiday weekend.

Indietracks takes place 28 April-1 May.
