Forest Side is ideal for food lovers, walkers keen to explore the stunning scenery, those looking to delve into the area’s rich cultural history, or those just simply looking to relax for a few days. One thing is certain Forest Side will be the perfect gastronomic location to indulge and unwind in this beautiful part of the country.

This former Victorian gentleman’s residence has resurrected the original kitchen garden, creating raised beds, orchards and specialist growing areas. This is particularly important as fresh seasonal produce will feature throughout Head Chef Kevin Tickle’s menus, with elements grown on site and others foraged locally by Kevin and his team. Alongside this, Kevin has been working with his team of chefs to refine a number of dishes, including mushroom broth with roast ox tongue, smoked bone marrow and winter chanterelles and spiced pumpkin cake with sweet cheese ice cream, pecans and birch sap.
