Enjoy a wonderful and varied programme of events in the City of London and Bankside to mark the 400th anniversary of Shakespeare’s death.
Shakespeare’s drama, poetry and language have resonated down the centuries and continue to inspire us today. Celebrate his life in the City of London where he lived and worked, and where you can still walk down streets which he passed along himself.
A range of events will take place from January - July 2016, across Guildhall Galleries, the Barbican, Shakespeare’s Globe, the Museum of London, and many other heritage settings, you can immerse yourself in a Shakespeare-fest with leading actors and musicians of today. Or you can just dip in and out. Whatever your choice, you’re sure to find something here to draw you in and reflect on a man whose words can still take us to the heart of the human experience.
