Hike through heather-topped hills in Nidderdale

Brimham Rocks, North Yorkshire

Enjoy the perfect mix of fresh air and fresh food, with walking trails lined by historical landmarks, geological wonders and welcoming village pubs.

There is nothing quite like a day in the English countryside for building up an appetite. Weave your way through the weird and wonderful natural formations at Brimham Rocks and up on to the purple heather moorland where the wind and the views will take your breath away. Follow gentle footpaths through golden buttercup fields lined with hedgerows bursting with wildflowers, or pick your away across gurgling streams where kingfishers swoop.

After a morning’s walking, a pretty village is a welcome sight. Perched on a hilltop or nestled in the folds of the valley, the classic English pub awaits with a hearty menu of locally sourced food and locally brewed beer. Enjoy the cosy interior or the views from the beer garden. Once relaxed and refreshed, you will be on your way again. Next stop afternoon tea!
