Head to the Isle of Wight for Festival of the Sea

Isle Of Wight

For nine days, you'll be spoiled for choice as the island serves up a wide range of sea-related activities.

These include beach art displays, fishing, cookery displays and food-tasting, and cycle rides finishing with fish and chips on the beach.

Lovers of unique art should visit the quaint village of Fishbourne for the Beach Arts Festival, where they can marvel at sea side sculptures and watch local artists create inspiring pieces.

If you’re brave enough to tackle a few waves, try your hand at sailing a yacht, test your windsurfing skills or kayak on the River Medina at the Open Day at UKSA.

Enjoy a good old sea shanty and smuggling tales of old as you take in the gorgeous views of Ventnor Bay at the Spyglass Sea Shanty Festival, and foodies can learn insider tips on how to knock up a tasty meal from the island’s top chefs at the Red Funnel Food Show.
