If you’ve been to London, seen all the shows, got the T-shirt (and the signed programmes), then how about taking your seats to Bristol?
Take a theatre trip to the beautiful Bristol Hippodrome, one of the UK’s top provincial theatres and a superb example of the grand architecture of the late Victorian era.
The Hippodrome celebrated its 100th anniversary in 2012, which is pretty impressive when you realise that along the way it’s survived World War II bombing raids, a fire and the odd bit of heckling. Today it gets more than its fair share of top West End shows, not to mention ballet, comedy and drama.
New for 2015 is the hit West End theatre show Wicked, which visits the Bristol Hippodrome in spring. Winner of 90 international awards, the show has been casting its magical spell over audiences across the world for a decade.
Continue your weekend’s cultural activities after the show with an amble through the cobbled streets of Bristol’s Old City, admiring its incredible historic buildings and medieval city walls.
