Go wild at Trentham Monkey Forest

Trentham , Staffordshire

This is the only place in Britain where you can walk amongst 140 Barbary macaques roaming free in 60 acres of forest.

The moment you walk in the park you are transported into a different world through close contact with the monkeys. Here the monkeys play on the ground and in the trees, displaying their natural behaviour as they would in the wild. So don't be surprised if they stroll on the path straight in front of you!

Guides positioned along the forest paths are happy to answer any questions and give hourly feeding talks.

As well as the Monkey Forest, the 725-acre Trentham Estate offers a wealth of other activities, making it a destination for all the family to get out and enjoy the outdoors. Kids can get active in the adventure playground, tackle the high ropes course, play ‘Hide and Speak’ in the maze or spot fairies on the magical Fairy Trail.
