Explore the English Riviera Global Geopark

Torquay, Devon

Spot rare wildlife, go coasteering, and discover stories of drowned forests at South Devon's Global Geopark, a fascinating area with rich historical and geological heritage.

If there’s one thing Devon has in abundance, it’s the great outdoors and you’ll find 6,200 hectares of it at the UNESCO-recognised English Riviera Global Geopark.

There's cycling, coasteering, scuba diving and kayaking to choose from, or if you are feeling more daring, why not try diving, or wild swimming. There are also off-road tracks for keen mountain bikers. Local guides will be happy to guide you on your adventure.

If you prefer to keep things relaxed, explore the Berry Head National Nature Reserve, an enchanting spot where rare plants and wild flowers line clifftops and a plethora of sea birds hawk above. Alternatively, get up close and personal to a fascinating stretch of coastline on a boat trip, stroll along the South West Coast Path or step aboard one of the great value ferries. If you’re lucky, you might catch a glimpse of dolphins and porpoises.

If you are feeling more adventurous why not try a fishing trip, diving, or wild swimming. Our local guides will be happy to take you on the adventure of a lifetime. There are also off-road tracks for keen mountain bikers.
