It might be a county steeped in history, but Lancashire has a thoroughly alive and kicking (and dancing!) side to it, hosting the Great British R&B Festival.
The Great British R&B Festival - which takes place every year in August - has been voted Europe’s number one R&B festival. Focusing on contemporary blues artists while also playing tribute to the past, the festival is hosted in eight different venues across Colne, around 50 miles (80 km) from Lancaster.
Some of the big names set to entertain during this year's three-day festival include Anthony Gomes, Danny Bryant Big Band, Rufus Black and Mike Sanchez. The beautiful town also shuts down one of its main streets to make way for heaps of street entertainment, busking and food & drink stalls.
Great British R&B Festival 2020 takes place between 28-30 August; headliners at this year's event include Band of Friends, Layla Zoe and Mike Farris & His Band.
