Get on your bike and take on the ‘Hills Killer’

Freshwater, Isle of Wight

Do you have what it takes to battle your bike up the most challenging hills on the Isle of Wight?

The Hills Killer pits riders against a specially plotted course designed to test their strength, endurance and determination. This event takes place as part of the Isle of Wight Cycling Festival every autumn.

There are three courses of varying difficulty available, featuring 3 hill, 7 hill and 14 hill challenges. Riders must negotiate their way through a series of control points set across the island. At the various starting locations you are handed a timing chip which will let you know how your time measures against your friends and other riders. This event is designed to test your orientation skills as well as your legs – any missed checkpoints will result in disqualification!

The run ends at West Wight Sports Centre, where you will be met by a welcome offering of tea, coffee and snacks – and even a head, body or foot massage if you are feeling weary.
