Get festival fever during May in Brighton and Hove

Brighton & Hove, East Sussex

The seaside city comes alive with four fantastic festivals taking place in one month of madness.

Brighton and Hove hosts thousands of events in May as four festivals take over the city: Brighton Festival, Brighton Fringe, The Great Escape and Artists Open Houses.

Anish Kapoor, Brian Eno and Vanessa Redgrave have all been the Guest Artistic Director for the multi-arts Brighton Festival. Brighton Fringe is an eccentric and eclectic mix of comedy, cabaret, theatre and the downright bizarre!

Artists Open Houses sees artists literally opening up their homes to the public and over the past 10 years The Great Escape music festival has established itself as the place to catch the next big thing. Past acts have included Adele, George Ezra and Royal Blood.
