Golfers can enjoy north Devon's stunning coast from the golf course at either Saunton Sands or Ilfracombe
Saunton offers 36 holes of beautiful championship links golf, set in the heart of North Devon.
The land at Saunton Burrows has hosted golf since 1897 and given us today’s premier golf course in the West Country since Herbert Fowler (famed designer of Walton Heath, The Berkshire, and more) created the East course in the 1920s.
Ilfracombe Golf Club boasts one of the most spectacular locations in the UK for an exhilarating round of golf. Situated on top of the rugged cliffs of the North Devon coast, every tee has an awe-inspiring view over the sea, from the Welsh Coast and Lundy Island, to as far as the eye can see on the Atlantic horizon. With wonderfully lush fairways and enticing greens, this course can surprise you and challenge you with a mishievous wind sometimes blowing in off the sea, to add that little twist to a round of golf.
