Dartmoor is the place to get your adventure kicks, from cycling to climbing to white water kayaking.
Dartmoor provides an adventure playground year round with mountain bike trails, challenging climbs and bouldering and some of the finest white water in Southern England. Go cycling on the Granite and Gears routes from Princetown or along the traffic free Granite Way near Okehampton.
For something more daring, slide into a kayak and get an entirely different view along the River Dart, as you rush past grassy banks and under ancient stone bridges. Alternatively, why not test your skills at letterboxing? This has nothing to do with posting letters, it's actually a 19th century activity that combines orienteering with treasure hunting and puzzle solving.
Explore Dartmoor's wild landscapes whilst solving puzzles and improving your navigational skills. There are plenty of letterboxes to find, including the original one at Cranmere Pool in north Dartmoor.
