Get active at Summerhill Country Park

Hartlepool, North Yorkshire

Summerhill is a 100-acre Country Park that has been transformed for conservation and outdoor sports – adventure-lovers, get stuck in!

On the western edge of Hartlepool, Summerhill Country Park combines a nature reserve and outdoor activity centre into a fantastic trip out.

Summerhill Country Park has open access facilities for rock climbing, cycling, walking, orienteering and play, so it’s ideal for anyone who wants to expend some energy while on holiday. Staff at the visitor centre run activity sessions in archery, high ropes, rock climbing, orienteering, team games, nature study and crafts for groups and the general public.

There’s also a Boulder Park, the largest of its type in Europe, a BMX cycling course, a high level ropes course and facilities for archery.

Hartlepool, on the coast of northeast England, is 3 hours from London by train.
