Gear up for a ride on the Lakes & Dales Loop

Cumbria

For a family adventure on two wheels, the Lakes & Dales Loop is perfect for exploring scenic landscapes across Cumbria and the Yorkshire Dales.

You don’t need to ride the full 190 miles to make the most of this newly revitalised circular route, which takes in everything from towering peaks and rolling green valleys to the hidden coastal treasures of Morecambe Bay, just choose your section, grab the bikes and venture where you please.

Suitable for all cycling interests and abilities, the Lakes & Dales Loop follows the boundary of the Lake District National Park to the north, west and south. It also links the Lune and Eden Valleys to the east.

The suggested start and finish point at Penrith is easily accessible for cyclists arriving by train on the West Coast mainline.
