Follow in the footsteps of Poldark

Corsham, Wiltshire

Explore the Wiltshire town that became Truro in series one of Poldark.

Pay a visit to the Wiltshire town of Corsham this winter and browse the pretty high street with its independent shops and quaint buildings. You may recognise Corsham from season one of BBC's Poldark - it stood in for the Cornish town of Truro.

Look out for the town's resident peacocks, who belong to Corsham Court. You can often see them strolling along the streets and sometimes even stopping traffic! Enjoy a visit to the Corsham Almshouses and Schoolroom, stop off in one of the town's local eateries for some local food and drink and extend your break by heading to the Pound Arts Centre, where you will find regular exhibitions, workshops and performances as well as resident artists.
