Travel down memory lane in a new Children’s Television exhibition at Bristol’s M Shed.
Perched on Bristol’s bustling Harbourside, M Shed museum uses fun, interactive displays and exhibits to bring the history of Bristol and its people to life. From 2nd July to 25th September, M Shed is to host an exciting exhibition that will take nostalgic adults on a trip down memory lane and wow the minds of their offspring – The Story of Children's Television from 1946 to Today. From Muffin the Mule to today’s multi-channel, catch-up world, the exhibition will feature memorabilia, clips, images, puppetry and live shows of our most beloved childhood characters. There are also working exhibits on the dockside including steamboats, trains and cranes and stunning views of Bristol’s Floating Harbour from the museum’s panoramic windows. The Matthew, a stunning replica of the ship in which John Cabot discovered North America, is moored here and is free to explore.
